Executive Nomad helps experienced professionals, usually aged 40 to 65, turn decades of career experience into a flexible, independent business: consulting, advisory work, coaching, board roles or workshops. Founded by Jamie Sylvian, it uses a three-step method, Rewire, Repackage, Repurpose, and starts with free AI tools.
Executive Nomad helps experienced professionals turn what they know into a flexible, independent business built around the life they want. Its clients are typically executives leaving corporate life, public service leaders and business owners after a sale. The method has three steps: Rewire (decide the life first), Repackage (turn experience into an offer someone will pay for) and Repurpose (choose how it earns, from consulting and advisory work to coaching, board roles and workshops). People start with free AI tools, DecodedAi Lite and RewiredAi Lite, then work with the team one to one and in live workshops. Travel is optional. The aim is that income stops dictating where you live.
Jamie Sylvian is the founder of Executive Nomad, author of The Executive Nomad Operating System and host of The Executive Nomad podcast.

My guest today has been working for himself since 1991, long before anyone called it being a digital nomad. Jamie Sylvian co-founded SIRA Utilities, the company that became uSwitch.com, has lived and worked in thirteen countries, and now runs Executive Nomad, helping experienced professionals turn what they know into a business built around the life they want. He’s the author of The Executive Nomad Operating System. Jamie, welcome.

A field guide for senior leaders who want to turn a career’s worth of experience into consulting, coaching and board work, and build a location-independent business around it.
Jamie wrote it after meeting Peter, 54, in Neos Marmaras, a harbour town in Greece. Peter had been made redundant when his company was bought and the new CEO brought in his own team. He had a good payoff, felt untethered, and believed he was too old to get another job.
