Hill and the six flag theory of the Perpetual Traveler movement. At that time, the idea was simple. You have your company registered in one place, your banking in another, your physical residency in another, where you actually live in another, your investments in another, and what they called your playground, essentially where you enjoy your assets.That made a lot of sense to me back then, but there were two reasons I did not follow it at the time. First, I was young and I did not have any money to worry about. Second, when my businesses later became successful and I did have something to protect, I did diversify, and I always have. It has just been how I operate.What struck me this morning is that it is January 19th, 2026, and the world feels like it is in a real mess. Geopolitically, we seem to be on the precipice of conflict, instability, and uncertainty everywhere you look.Today, and you will remember this whenever you listen to it, is the day President Trump says the US is going to take over Greenland, whether Greenlanders like it or not. On one level, it makes no difference to me. I will probably never go there. But it is the wider picture that matters.Greenland is owned by Denmark. Denmark is part of NATO. That means one NATO country threatening another NATO country. If NATO collapses, Russia would be delighted. There are serious implications there.Now, those implications may not directly affect you and me today, but they might tomorrow.The world has changed a lot since W.G. Hill and the original Perpetual Traveler movement, but in some ways, it is even more relevant now. It is about protecting yourself.If you are working in a country that becomes politically unstable, for example the UK, which right now is seeing more millionaires leave than at any time in history, something is clearly wrong. The UK should be a magnet, yet for whatever reason it no longer is.This is not a political discussion. I have no political affiliation and I do not want one. But if you feel a government is getting it wrong, if taxes change overnight, if rules shift, if the environment no longer works for you, as an executive nomad you are not stuck.You are not a tree.You can move.If you leave today, wherever you land tomorrow, you are still in business. That is the key point. As an executive nomad, whether you are operating under your own brand or inside our ecosystem, you have the skills and the framework to work from anywhere.If the UK or the US no longer suits you, you can leave. It really is that simple.I appreciate everyone has different circumstances. I do not have kids or grandkids, so my situation is different. But I want you to know that you have choices.If you do not like where you are, you can register your company elsewhere. You can open bank accounts elsewhere. You can move yourself elsewhere. You can obtain residency visas that allow you to live for three or four years in many countries.Once a country sees that you are productive and beneficial to their economy, these things are often easier than people expect. There is plenty of information online if you want to explore it.This was just a thought. A short five minute reflection to open up a conversation.I hope it made sense.
