He wasn't just unemployed; he was unmoored. He knew he didn't want to fight twenty-year-olds for a mid-level management role, but the idea of "retirement" terrified him. He still had energy. I did call myself an Executive Nomad I've been using that term for a long time, but I hadn't formalized it as a business or an idea.I eventually had a conversation with a man named Peter, and I got just as excited as he did when I realized there were many people like him. I figured there might be a business opportunity here and a way to help people who are stuck. They have all this ambition and plenty of gas in the tank, but they don't quite know what to do because they are coming out of a corporate world where everything was provided for them.In that corporate environment:1. If they needed marketing done, Mary was downstairs.2. If they needed a contract done, Bill was upstairs.That was the initial idea for Executive Nomad. I have built it out over time, and obviously, these things take time to organize and bring to reality. But here we are.
